Do I need a new SIM to change to 5G?

You won't need to get a new SIM from us if you want to swap to a 5G plan. Simply request for a plan change as normal and, once it takes place at the beginning of your next billing cycle, you will simply have to power cycle your phone to connect to your local 5G tower.

Please keep in mind that your local connectivity to 5G depends on the infrastructure in your area. Please check an Optus coverage map to see if you can receive 5G in your area.
