All mobile SIM plans purchased after 12/02/2020, as well as our Data and Home Wireless Broadband plans, are subject to a calendar month billing cycle, which begins on the 1st and ends on the last day of each calendar month. Be sure to check the relevant Critical Information Summary (CIS) for your plan to see whether or not it uses Calendar Month Billing.
If you are not connected on the first of the month you will be billed a proportional, or pro-rata, amount for that period up to the end of the month. For example, if you connect on the 15th of June you will only have half of your monthly data and inclusions until midnight on the 30th of June, but you will only be charged half of your usual bill for that period. The initial access fee you paid when you signed up (e.g. $34) will act as a credit on your account and be used to pay for your first 'full' month (e.g. July in this example). You'll receive your first proportional bill at the beginning of your first full month, and would due to be paid on 8th of each month.
In a nutshell, a calendar month billing cycle is designed to bring you in line with the calendar month, where your monthly allowances are reset on the 1st every month. All the additional service on the same account will be kept on the same billing cycle as it is for the first service and customers will get a pro-rata charge on their account for all the additional services connected with Moose.
