If you'd like to switch off the data on your phone there are a few options available to you. The easiest solution is to switch the data off directly on your handset. This option will be available in your phone's settings page, and will stop the phone from using the mobile data from your SIM card while still allowing you to make calls and texts.
If you're the owner of a Moose account and want to prevent one of the services on your account from using data (parental or employee control), then you can also disable the data on the network level by logging into the Moose customer portal on our website or by downloading the Moose Mobile app. You can use the "Data on/off" switch to turn your data on and off at will.
This Data on/off switch will turn off the mobile Data in Australia only, and not while Roaming overseas. To turn of Roaming on your service, please get in touch via call or email.
Please keep in mind that this will stop the data at the network level instead of on your phone, so you won't be able to use your mobile data to switch it back on as it will be disabled. If you'd like to switch this back on you will need to use a WiFi connection or call us.
