Changing Your Plan: Key Rules
- Plan Changes to a Promotional plan are not possible
- You cannot switch to a plan that is currently on promotional pricing.
- All plan changes must be made to a plan at its standard monthly price.
- Example: If a plan is temporarily discounted from $25 to $20, you can only switch to it at the $25 standard rate.
- Timing of Plan Changes
- Plan changes do not take effect immediately.
- They are scheduled to begin at the start of your next billing cycle.
- For most customers, this is the 1st of the following month.
Data Banking Impact When Changing Plans
Moose Mobile’s data banking feature allows you to roll over unused data from month to month. However, this is affected by the type of plan change:
Upgrading to a Higher Value Plan
- If you move to a plan with a higher monthly cost, your existing data bank is preserved.
- You continue to accumulate unused data each month.
Downgrading to a Lower Value Plan
- If you switch to a plan with a lower monthly cost, your data bank will be reset to 0GB.
- You will lose all previously saved data.
Switching to a Plan Without Data Banking
- If the new plan does not support data banking, you will:
- Lose access to the feature entirely
- No longer be able to save unused data in future months
(This only applies to data banking plans)
How to Request a Plan Change
If you’d like to upgrade or downgrade your plan:
- Let Moose Mobile know which plan you’d like to switch to.
- They will schedule the change for your next billing cycle.
- No further action is needed—just wait for the new cycle to begin.
